On B4044 approaching Farmoor, the 30 mph traffic sign is completely hidden by overgrown trees.

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 15:40, Thu 10 July 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7858252.

If you proceed along the B4044 from Swinford Toll Bridge towards Oxford (Botley Road), there's a 30 mph sign on the left about half a mile (or less?) before reaching Farmoor. That traffic sign is completely hidden by the trees to the left, and any driver unfamiliar with the area is at real risk of being caught by the speed camera a few hundred yards down the road. Perhaps stating the obvious, but the trees need to be trimmed, to make the 30 mph sign visible to any driver heading in the direction of Oxford.

  • The sign is still completely obscured and not knowing the area and with, I think, a bus blocking my view of the right hand sign I continued at 40mph past the camera. Any speeding summons will be contested.
