  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. OCC maintains up to the back edge of the adjacent footpath only. The land beyond this point is maintained by and adjacent landowner. I will send out correspondence to the landowner, detailing the problem and advising that they carry out remedial works to remove potential hazards to the highway.
