Vegetation

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 21:57, Tue 8 July 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7830283.

Vegetation needs cutting back as it’s practically covering the 30 mph signs both sides of the road as you start to enter Burcot from Clifton Hampden lights. Someone will miss these resulting in speeding through the village … and a possible fine.

Council ref: ENQ251052980

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
