At the end of the drive of 62 Grasmere

Reported via desktop in the Kerbs category anonymously at 15:59, Tue 8 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7828718.

The gully has eroded over the last 2 - 3 years and weeds have grown, I have treated them with weed killer but larger holes have appeared and causing a danger when driving my car onto the drive. Both my wife and I are in our 70's and I have terminal cancer, and twice have tripped-up on it. We feel it needs urgent attention, before the winter as it builds up with ice.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Following a review on cost and effectiveness of weed spraying, we are not routinely spraying weeds on the highway. Instead, we review requests for treatment of weeds in channels, at the top of kerbs, in footways / alleyways (bordering a wall or fence), footpaths and link paths. As your request does not meet the criteria, no further action will be taken at this time.

We will continue to ensure the location is safe through our routine safety inspections which are conducted in line with our Code of Practice. More information is available on the following link:
