A large tree by the roadside has dead branches. This is located at Hoblingwell, alongside Leesons Way near to the intersection with Petersham Drive, opposite the side of number 48 Petersham Drive.

Thank you for your enquiry. Sadly, the Whitebeam is in decline with significant dieback of the crown. Whitebeams do not like refracted light of heat which could be attributed to the buildings opposite side of the road. This combined with the tree has a large stem wound below crown break which has poorly occluded and led to the development of rot forming below crown break close to the branch unions junctions. As a precaution, a fell and stump grind has been raised to the tree and a replacement has been added to the planting schedule in hand to be planted next planting season starting in November running through to March 2026.
