You probably want to validate if suddenly blocking cars on this road is legit.

This evening a security company blocked us from driving through this road towards St. James church citing its private property, but it appears to be maintained by public expense from what I can tell. If it is indeed a private road and I suddenly can't having been through that road for over 10 years, then all the potholes I see reported on it I would not fix. It seems odd that suddenly I am told the landowner (referred to as John by the security company, from I think Manor Farm), has said its private and cars can't travel along it.

I have attached a photo where I have tried to demarcate the section of road between the two gates where I was prevented from driving. Look the security guard was very pleasant and I have no complaints with him. However, that is not the point. Is this a road I should be able to drive on, or if not, why is the counsel maintaining it using public funds (from what I can tell).
