Massive patch of Himalayan balsam (invasive)

Reported via mobile anonymously at 17:37, Mon 7 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7823017.

Hi There is a large patch of Himalayan balsam by the water channel under the bridge. This is an invasive plant which dominated native species and spreads like wildfire. The area is not accessible to the public so I cannot get rid of this myself. It has been here for a few weeks and is now flowering so needs to be removed soon to lessen spread. Thanks!
