Cars parked out over the pavement hindering use of the pavement
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction blocking access category anonymously at 22:21, Sunday 6 July 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7818286.
Cars are using their front ‘garden’ areas to park cars which do not fit. Some do not have dropped kerbs which suggest this is not agreed with the council. The cars all are protruding over the pavement which prevent access along the pavement for those with child buggies and those using walking aids such as rollators and mobility scooters. In order to be able to pass where the tree is on the pavement too, they have to go in to the road to be able to pass. This is a busy road and puts people at considerable risk.

As advised by Bristol Council I contacted the police (as, apparently this is their call, not Bristol Council). They took all the details and agreed it was an offence and the households would be contacted. The households are still parking in the same inconsiderate and obstructive ways - but, to be fair, the police may not yet have got around to making contact. We waits and see. And, hopefully, I shall have another request for feedback in another month.
