Dangerous Road - Kidnappers Lane

Reported via mobile in the General road markings, lines and stud issues category by Phillip Stephens at 07:49, Sunday 6 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7814918.

Kidnappers Lane, between Farm Lane and Church Road is an accident waiting to happen. The width, corners and passing points are not safe and fit for purpose. The number of potholes make the road even narrower.

The amount of use has increased massively with the school, nursery and development, but no effort has gone into pedestrians, cyclists or drivers.

A complete rethink and improvement to the roads in Leckhampton is required.

The number of times children need to cross the road is dangerous and lighting is insufficient in the winter. Tress and hedgerows block visibility at crossing points.

The speed limit should be reduced immediately to 15 MPH. (that is the safe speed anyway). Zebra crossing needs to be in place. The pot holes should be filled in.

Church Road and Farm Lane are also not fit for purpose. Work is required to fix the issues. I just hope the improvements are made before a serious accident not after.
