Brook house, vicarage lane

Reported via desktop in the Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 20:18, Wed 2 July 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7799729.

I walk regularly from The Dysart Arms to the village, the hedges are taking over the public highway and making it very dangerous to walk, on many occasions cars have come very close to hitting us! I also drive that way regularly and now due to the hedge being at least up to 3ft in places past their boundary it has become impossible for cars to pass safely. Recently the village was gridlocked due to vehicles getting stuck due to these overgrown hedges. The owners need to take their hedges back to their boundary most of those properties have a sandstone wall which is where the hedge should be located upon. If this is not actioned someone will get hurt. It is a route to the church which the elderly use as do children. Your urgent attention is requested to instruct the landowners to remove their overgrown hedges from the public highway.
