Very large weeds that are difficult to walk over and there roots are breaking the roadway up . No treatment has been made on all Easter this year . These are trip hazards . The council are responsible for safe and maintained footpaths that are paid for in council tax revenue . Failure to do so will lead to more costs to repair broken roadway and pavements

Thank you for your enquiry. Following a review on cost and effectiveness of weed spraying, we are not routinely spraying weeds on the highway. Instead, we review requests for treatment of weeds in channels, at the top of kerbs, in footways / alleyways (bordering a wall or fence), footpaths and link paths. As your request does not meet the criteria, no further action will be taken at this time.
We will continue to ensure the location is safe through our routine safety inspections which are conducted in line with our Code of Practice. More information is available on the following link:
