ARF Highway Services have been appointed as the event traffic management contractor for this year’s Sunshine Festival, which is taking place in Upton-upon-Severn from 21st to 24th August.
As part of the traffic management scheme proposed for the event, signs warning of possible traffic delays along the A38 in Earls Croome (Worcestershire) will be installed at various locations, one of which is expected to be the A38 (northbound) in Gloucestershire, between its junctions with the M50 (Junction 1) and Puckrup Lane. The sign, which will be 1200mm x 1200mm in size, will be in installed up to 2 weeks prior to the event.
Will prior permission be required from Gloucestershire County Council and if so, would you be able to advise of any applications that may be required please?

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the issue will be provided.
