Shrubs and nettles growing over the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction blocking access category by Anna Jones at 15:17, Monday 30 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7786766.

Nettles and shrubs are growing over the length of the pavement on both sides of the road. It's dangerous as children have to walk in the road on their way to school to avoid them. The pavement is already very narrow and cars park on half of it during drop off and pick up.

  • The update states that a letter has been sent to the landowner. The nettles and shrubs are growing on the pavement on both sides of the road- they are not overhanging from either Bridge Farm or Glenfrome Primary. I recently walked down here and the nettles are still growing from the pavement on the public highway and blocking pavement access for wheelchair users and making walking difficult.

  • The whole length of Glenfrome road is overgrown with nettles and shrubs on both sides. This is obstructing the narrow path making it impassable for people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs as the pavement is very narrow. A small portion of the land is owned by Bridge Farm, but the rest is owned by Bristol City Council - either Highways or Education if any of the land is part of Glenfrome Primary. This is a very busy pavement at school drop off and pick up. There was also broken glass along the section by the entrance to Bridge Farm this morning
