Hidden sign

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7786259.

This sign being covered by vegetation on approach was reported on number7727172 Maybe your expert looked at the 50 mph sign which is visible however on the opposite side that is a 30 mph which cannot be seen on approach as the speed limit drops from 50 to 30 mph with approximately 3m of visibility. Vehicles then brake very hard and very late with a big accident waiting to happen. The sign is not covered but the approach to the sign is covered

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.
