I have cut my head when walking under these low branches when the sun is straight in your eyes (afternoons). It worries me particularly as this is a dog walking route for me and, at almost 81 years of age, I feel quite vuknerable. There is a second overhanging branch about 50m further down the path, In both cases it looks like the tree has faalen over (or that a branch from the tree has become detached in some way. Either way, both sites are in desperate need of repair

On closer examination, it would appear that the trees concerned have split or are dying. Major parts of at least 2 trees need to be cut down to make this pathway safe for pedestrians and cyclists

This problem has not been dealt with. Regardless of who owns the land that the dead tree has fallen from, it is now hanging low over a footpath. It is leaning on a brick wall which is unsafe. At night it is even more dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists and there is no lighting here. It has been reported numerous times. Local residents have tried to cut some of the branches off to make it safer and prevent an accident but it needs a chain saw.
