Fire Hazard of overgrown grass

Reported via mobile in the Grass cutting category anonymously at 13:36, Thu 26 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7768327.

As a local resident, I have concerns about the overgrown grass in the top field (with over-flow car park) within the Oldbury Court Estate. Within the local community there have been many arson attacks recently that appear to be on-going. I am concerned about the grass posing a fire risk. The grass in that field was set alight last Summer, thankfully being extinguished before causing significant harm. However, when the grass is eventually cut and the hay bales remain I worry that this will provide what is essentially giant fire lighters for anyone looking to start a fire quickly and is also located very close to surrounding homes. I would ask you to please consider keeping it cut, bearing in mind the current issues with arson within the area.
