Dead branches on tree

Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 08:57, Thu 26 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7766095.

There are 2 trees outside my home - 30 Ashfield Lane. A very healthy and ancient oak and I think a London plane tree. The plane tree is large and has a number of dead branches (some large) that could fall and potentially injure someone or fall on a car on the road. Photo attached. I think it needs a prune. • Thank you for your enquiry. According to our records the trees outside property no.32 Ashfield Lane are under private ownership and therefore not the responsibility of the Council. The land opposite 32 is managed separately by the Chislehurst Commons Society. Whilst two of the tree's outside no.32 are in poor condition, they do not meet the criteria for us to take action under the Miscellaneous Provisions Acts. We will continue to monitor their health and make contact with the owners if required.
