Large hole in the highway

A hole has appeared in the road and on inspection you can see that the tarmac has collapsed into it. Also the road around it seems to be sinking and the hole is gradually getting bigger. It is situated just before the brow of a small hill and people are having to drive out into the middle of the road to avoid damaging wheels. It has been there for sometime but now looks to be getting worse.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 2 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 7 days.
