Unusable and dangerous pavement

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 20:08, Monday 23 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7752499.

I walked along the pavement on Horsepond Road with my two children the other day. My daughter who is 2 nearly got hit by a car, which was incredibly scary. The pavement is unusable, you can see in the photo that it is centimetres from the road where vehicles are going about 40mph. The pavement has no edge, has not been maintained and cannot fit a single person walking along it. This is the way that we walked to our local park. This needs urgent attention. It needs an edge and a tidy up, and some sort of barrier to protect users from the road.
