Update basketball posts shacklewell basketball court

I am reaching out on behalf of the basketball community using the Shacklewell Street basketball court. The court surface and paint job are great and well above average considering the standard for basketball courts in London. However the current basketball posts unfortunately don’t match the same standard, the community has often complained about the lack of nets and the poor quality of backboards. Making the ball bounce in uncontrolled directions, and leaving the court area too often, disrupting the quality of practice. Additionally the lack of padding around the posts, creates risk of injuries, several players have hit the unpadded metal pole and have suffered bruises from it.

I’m asking if it would be possible to update the basketball posts to ones that match the professional outdoor court standards. Strong glass backboard with heavy duty flex rings are standard features for more “proper” courts, they are used in Finsbury Park and the recently refurbished Ducketts Commons courts. This would be great for the local basketball community, and would set an exemple in the current effort to drive investment in refurbishing basketball courts in the UK.
