Roadworks on Oakfield Rd and Woodbine Grove inadequate pedestrian provision

Reported via mobile in the Utility Works and Temporary Traffic Lights category anonymously at 10:09, Monday 23 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7748584.

These roadworks on the footpath are at the corner of a very busy road. There are no pedestrian alternatives provided, just "footpath closed" signs at either end. These are not obvious when approaching from woodbine grove so by the time you see the sign, you're forced to cross the road at its busiest point or walk in the road around the obstruction. There is a nursery right next to the works and many people taking babies and children to school along this road. There needs to be a pedestrian footpath alternative to be safe. These works started today (23/06/25).
