Overgrown, gone wild bushes and brambles

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 22:30, Sun 22 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7747286.

I have checked the land registry and know this land belongs to you. These bushes have been left to go wild for so many months I have lost count. Next to my front garden they brambles overgrow the footpath. The whole thing by the garden is well over 2m. To the side of my house the height is 3/4m with a combination of growth and I believe there is a tree or two in there as well.

I have had the conversation with various housing officers and established this has nothing to do with me but, it is affecting my enjoyment of the property and the brambles are dangerous to people and pets.

Updates

  • Obviously it's been some weeks since this was done. I am angry because, if I owned my property I could take action against you for crossing my boundary, but I don't. As a disabled person I have managed to keep the worst of the encroachment onto the path down. But my efforts have been pathetic, others have assisted but, it is your property, you sort it. I attach a picture of what it looked like just 4 years ago.
