Overgrown Grass reducing exits for residents driveways
Reported via desktop in the Grass category by Aston Rowant Parish Council at 20:56, Sat 21 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7744052.
No mow May has extended in the last week of June and still grass verges have not been cut.
At this location residents cannot see to get out of their driveway on what is a very busy "rat run" avoiding Chinnor, where the 30mph speed limit is routinely ignored.
I do not have a photo as your app will not accept the pdf images I have been provided with, but this grass needs cutting now.

Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
