Report of faded white lines and markings at the junctions from the High Street: to the Long Buckby Road at one end and to the road leading to Spratton at the other. This section requires urgent review.

    The white lines at the two junctions coming to Ravensthorpe from Buckby Lion Long Lane joining the East Haddon rd and the next junction turning into the High Street Ravensthorpe are all very indistinct and the hatching at the top of the High Street has disappeared. So all the council visible efforts to calm and slow and control traffic disappear too. Central white lines are dim and all the speed limits in white circles are non existent at the three points in the village, including the top of Coton Hill from Guilsborough Road. I expect we are on the list for repainting soon, but this village is a ratrun, particularly through from Long Buckby to Spratton and Brixworth, so the surfaces get pounded. Recent patching has also destroyed central lining. Would be grateful for your attention please. Thanks.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the lining meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule lining works to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.
