Pot hole appearing in middle of road

Sent to Hampshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7731730.

This pot hole has been there for about 2 months in the middle of road and appears to be getting bigger as all large vehicles can’t miss it. Concerned a danger to unsuspecting vehicles ie motorcycles.

  • The reason for reporting is we get a lot of heavy transport driving down the road, when they hit the dip there is a lot of noise. Also there is a possibility of a motor cyclist hitting the dip unaware it’s there. Although it is a 30mph all vehicles appear to exceed this.

  • The ongoing problem is still there. A white paint line has been drawn around it. A note from the Council says that they will mend it but due to its location permission has to be granted to close the road. Meanwhile, all the lorries are still clattering down it because they can’t avoid it! An accident waiting to happen.
