The street name plate at this location and others throughout the borough are not identified as urgent defects in accordance with the council’s current Code of Practice, which is available on our website via the link below: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ pdf/ highways/ code-of-practice-for-highway-safety-inspections/ highway-inspection-code-of-practice-april-2021.pdf However, this location will be included in a future rolling programme of sign replacement works and will be prioritised within available budget, along with locations of a similar nature. At this present time, we are unable to indicate a timescale for those works, until the necessary funding and resource becomes available. Priority is generally given to the busy main routes, those locations where there is no street name plate or where there is only one sign, and this has become illegible.
