Potholes not fixed - Evenlode Road!
Reported via mobile in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 12:51, Wed 18 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7728130.
The one side of the Evenlode road between Cotsmore Close and the London Road is heavily potholed and damaged. The tiny repairs that have been made are insufficient. The road needs resurfacing properly not tiny repairs. This is long overdue and is awful driving in and out of this area. The one side erosion and potholes are mostly due to cars being parked all the way up the Evenlode road on the opposite carriageway, plus the heavy traffic and building lorries (for the new development which is in its 3rd year of being built) going up and down the one side of the road because of the parking situation. Please please can something be done about these issues?

Thank you for reporting a pothole.
First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
We will provide updates about this report.
On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.

This pothole report has now been passed to the Safety Inspection Team for assessment.
A safety inspector will make an assessment of the work needed and they will consider a number of factors, including the flow of traffic and the size of the pothole.
If repair work is required, the pothole will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible. We aim to complete the repair work within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the outcome of the safety inspection will be provided.
