Please can you help regarding an Overgrown tree. I have reported this tree to Caxtons for the last 6/7years. Caxtons manage the trees in the surrounding area. They applied to the council for permission to cut the tree back as it has a tree preservation order on it. This has recently need addressed but not completely. This tree is still overgrown and it needs taking right back to the maximum they are allowed to do. This tree has been taken up from ground height so is not hanging so low which is an improvement, however it needs pruning and taking in all the way around the edge and height as it’s still overgrown and there are still constant falling large branches and the path is often covered in bird poo. These are health and safety concerns. The concerning tree has covered the street lamp for the whole time and continues to do so and its unacceptable and unsafe to be getting out of the car especially in the dark evenings. The tree also blocks the light to the house as the width and height are blocking the light further. This tree needs cutting right back. Please can this tree be cut right back. It’s also growing into the tree next to it. Please also note the tree next to this is also now due to be taken back too.

Thank you for your report, This is a private mater with Caxton's. People can pass under it. I will pass it on to our Enforcement team who can ask them to trim around the street light. Caxton's will not prune because a lack of light etc
