Safety concerns - damaged pavement.

I am writing to raise serious concerns about the condition of the pavement and verge area outside 120 Brackley Road, Towcester, Nn12 6DJ at the location identified by the what3words address: ///scans.reassured.directs.
This area has deteriorated significantly, with large patches of broken tarmac, loose gravel, and uneven surfaces. It appears to have been left in a poor state for a considerable time, possibly following partial resurfacing or utility works. A recent photograph is attached to illustrate the extent of the damage.
The current condition presents two separate and important risks:
1. Pedestrian Safety: The area poses a clear risk of trips and falls, particularly for older or less mobile individuals. This is a serious concern in our case, as two elderly relatives aged in their late 70s and 80s live adjacent to this location and frequently walk across this section. The broken and unstable surface makes safe pedestrian access difficult, especially for those using walking aids or with limited balance.
2. Vehicle Access and Safety: The same section of verge is also used for vehicular access. The residents’ driveway opens directly onto it, requiring vehicles to reverse over the degraded surface. The loose aggregate and uneven ground make this manoeuvre more hazardous, particularly in wet or icy conditions, and may also cause damage to tyres or suspension over time.
Given the combination of these risks, we believe the issue warrants urgent attention. While we appreciate that councils face competing priorities, the present condition now presents more than just an inconvenience, it is a real safety concern, especially for elderly residents.
We would be grateful if the site could be inspected promptly, and if remedial works could be scheduled as a matter of priority. Please let us know the outcome of your inspection and any proposed timescales.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.
