Collapsed Drain and surrounding pothole on Runcorn Busway

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 06:41, Mon 16 June 2025

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7714241.

Collapsed Drain and surrounding pothole on Runcorn Busway @Rolands Walk Bus Stop ID: haladawj. This has been previously reported and a temporary fix applied however the drain is now back to its original disrepair state and causing a problem for our buses to manoeuvre around due to railings in the middle of the reservation.

Updates

  • This area had a temporary fix applied but no further action. The area had been marked out (as per image) but still no further developments. The drain cover itself has now failed causing a major risk to our bus services travelling through this area and a risk to our assets. As you can see from the image above there is not much room to get around the danger area and the centre island used by pedestrians to cross the road. There is no scope for us to go around this island as it would force us on to the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic. Could this issue now be raised as a necessary emergency repair please?
