‘Sink hole’ on foot/cycle path

On the foot/cycle path linking Knapp Lane to Major Avenue.

First noticed 15 June 25 around 9am.

The whole looks like a mini ‘sink hole’ where utility work has previously been carried out. It is quite deep and wide enough it could easily cause an accident for a pedestrian or cyclist.

    •Objects on the highway network (i.e. a fallen tree)
    •Faulty temporary or permanent traffic lights (i.e. stuck on red)
    •Exposed cables
    •Multiple street lighting faults
    •Flooded roads
    •Potholes over 75mm deep •Manhole/Metal Cover (i.e. missing or dangerous) please call our emergency number 08000 514 514.

  • Work to repair this issue has been planned and will take place as soon as possible.

    In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

    We will let you know when the work is complete.
