Dangerous pavement

I am disabled with rheumatoid arthritis, but am able to drive. The driveway I use to access my property is in a very poor state of repair. The slurry that was spread, a very long time ago, has crumbled and leaves the surface unsafe to step onto from my car. I have on numerous occasions skidded on it and if I wasn’t holding on to the door handle would have fallen. The footpath adjacent to my home is also in a poor condition. I originally paid for the driveway to be built about thirty years ago and was told it would be maintained as part of the highway.
