Red light out

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category by Peter Walker at 10:55, Friday 13 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7704209.

Travelling Northwest on Hyndland Road, at the junction with Clarence Drive, the red light is out on the left side traffic light. Attention focussed after witnessing a near miss when car didn't realise there were being signalled to stop. Only one other traffic light on opposite side of junction difficult to see.

Updates

  • Pointer location error, it's actually at the junction of Hyndland Road and Clarence Drive, now corrected by a second report.

  • Initially failed to find 'RALF' (Road And Lighting Faults) reporting but eventually found it on the GCC website. Decided to report it using the phone number quoted there. Phone answered quickly, details taken professionally and fixed within 24hrs. Well done GCC. I'd recommend reporting urgent safety related faults that way for prompt attention. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/ ralf
