Red light running at pedestrian crossing

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 15:13, Thu 12 June 2025

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7700550.

I use the pededestrain facility at these lights opposite 51 Edge Lane Drive three times a week. I've been shocked and intimidated to see the number of drivers driving through these lights after the green man has been showing for a second or more. The incidents have increased and I now fear for my safety and the safety of others. Its mainly a problem on the westbound carriageway, with vehicles turning right out of Mill Lane. It seems to have become an established practice for drived to ignore the red signal. Is there any chance of having a temporary traffic signal camera installed?

Updates

  • Sorry its the Eastbound carriageway, driving in the direction of Queens Drive.
