Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7700388.

  • A further four sections of railing have been removed since yesterday and thrown into nearby bushes. These are located between lampposts 14L9 and 14L11, opposite 55 Leesons Way.

There are now eight sections of railing missing at this location and a further two missing on Petersham Drive.

Please could this situation be addressed as a matter of urgency?

  • Further section of railing missing opposite 47 Leesons Way.

This section was also previously repaired unsatisfactorily - please see photo showing mastic which is utterly ineffective for this purpose.

Please could this be repaired effectively?

Posted by Ralph Ambrose at 13:58, Tue 8 July 2025

  • Thank you for your enquiry - poles were reaffixed to the fencing with metal to metal adhesive, and mastic has been applied to other joints that looked loose. Two remaining bars are to be placed back onto the fence with arrangements being made for this.

Posted by Bromley Council at 09:20, Mon 28 July 2025

  • As at lunchtime yesterday there were ten sections of railing missing alongside Leesons Way and a further two alongside Petersham Drive.

The adhesive/mastic is not fit for this purpose.

Please could a robust solution be found as soon as possible?

  • Thank you for your update - we are aware of these additional breaches and the contractor is scheduled to return on Friday 1st August to repair these.
