Trees overhanging and need pollarding
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7699957.
A number of trees from the park are overhanging into our garden by approx 10ft over the boundary wall. Please can these be pruned back to the boundary wall. Also, these trees are within close proximity to the house and because of their height are potentially dangerous and also blocking light, if they can also be pollarded by 10-12 meters, please.

Thank you. We will inspect this as soon as possible but please note the bellow. Council will not prune or remove trees in relation to the following:
• Branches overhanging property boundaries or buildings. • Lack of light • Where a tree is thought be too tall or large or old • Interference with solar panels or satellite, TV, or other media reception Problems associated with pollen • Excreta caused by insects or birds • Obstruction of the view from house windows, gardens, balconies etc • Branches and/or limbs in physical contact with telephone wires • Leaf fall • Fruit fall • Shedding of small twigs. Nor will we remove leaf and branch debris at the base of a tree which serves to protect roots and protects the tree from lawn mowers, strimmers and dogs

These trees and hedges have cost us an ever growing sum of money. We have had to pay hundreds of pounds already to remove the branches and debris that they have dropped or covered our garden with. Also, squirrels have used the tree branches to get onto our roof where they have eaten away at the roof fascia and have nested in our attic, which we then had to get pest control to remove them. But this will keep happening until the trees are cut back. Please can someone call me or email me directly on this, as this open forum is not the best place to discuss these issues.
