Overgrown twitten at Lister Avenue entrance

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 17:38, Tue 10 June 2025

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7690060.

The photo is taken from my back gate looking up the twitten towards Harwood Lane. It is impassable. The overgrowth is so bad it is pushing the fence towards my garden gate and in a few weeks I won't be able to get out of my back gate as the brambles will have blocked the exit.

Updates

  • Another photo of the twitten fence that is leaning towards my back garden gate.

  • I have been informed by West Sussex Highways that Mid Sussex Council are responsible for the upkeep of this pathway so I have now emailed them and am waiting for their response.

  • The problem has still not been sorted as of today 9th July. I did receive an email from the Landscapes and Leisure Team at MSDC and sent photos but have heard nothing since 30th June. I remain optimistic and will phone for an update at the end of this week.
