Uneven pavement causing water ingress to building

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:33, Tue 10 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7686426.

The pavement directly adjacent to our building is uneven and has visibly sunken in multiple areas, particularly along the edge where it meets the property wall. The paving slabs are misaligned, creating a channel that allows surface water to collect and pool during rainfall. The buildup of moss and dirt, as seen in the attached images, indicates prolonged damp conditions.

This faulty drainage path has resulted in persistent water ingress into the basement level of our building. The pavement's poor condition is directing water toward the base of the structure rather than away from it. The deterioration of the wall’s lower surface further demonstrates ongoing moisture damage.

Immediate inspection and remedial action are required to re-level the pavement and restore proper water runoff to prevent further structural damage and moisture-related problems inside the property.
