Park filled with piles of branches for months

Reported via Android in the Trees category anonymously at 09:08, Tuesday 10 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7686236.

Half a dozen trees were felled in the park on Purdon St during the storms in January. The branches have still not been removed from the park. Twice GCC has come and moved the branches around the park, creating two large piles that has become magnets for rubbish. Please, GCC, stop piling them into new places and remove them from the park completely.

Leave the logs, they provide seating in the park, but the piles of branches need to go. A dog was hurt on one of them recently because they are covered in thorns and sharp bits and shouldn't be on the ground. There are also branches on the footpath.

Please help us have a nice park again that we can be proud of!
