House bushes making the footpath quite hard to walk along

On the corner of Zetland Road and Redland Road the bushes of the house on the corner grow over the footpath quite regularly and make it quite hard to walk there. Often you have to walk out into the road.
Wonder if the residents could be asked to chop them back??
