Dumped rubbish in alleyway; multiple bins abandoned there. Spoke to councillor ages ago and supplied photos. Was told he'd look into getting it cleared....still waiting!

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7675695.
This alleyway could be a nice 'safe space' for the neighbours due to living on a busy road. One house has an overgrown front AND back, and a recent house renovation has left building materials and such like strewn all over the entry. About half a dozen bins have been abandoned there too. It's been like this since before last local elections - you know when councillors are keen to help, then you don't hear from them again....

This problem has been ongoing for some time now. What's the bet that it will be fixed next April - just before local elections take place?

A councillor has been to visit the entry, and agreed that it is in a mess. She advised me that she would need to check who 'owned' the entry, before it could be cleared. That was about 3-4 weeks ago.

Why bother with local councillors?

Almost 5 months now, and still NO sign of any help.

What is the point of a local councillor coming to assess a problem, and offer all kinds of solutions, if he/she then never bothers to come back to you? Next time I expect to hear from either of them will be when there is a local election due. Very disappointed.

Some progress has been made...the excess rubbish has been cleared but the overgrown tree/bushes is still a problem.
