2 advertising signs on mini-roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Flyposting category anonymously at 10:04, Sat 7 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7673995.

There has been distracting advertising on this mini-roundabout since at least 2008. Despite multiple reports in recent years, 2 ads - now in a forlorn state - remain eg BannerKwik. Why?

Either someone is legally paying @glasgowcc for ‘rental’ space, or these are illicit and should be removed. Which is it?

It’s not very clever in either case having adverts on a busy roundabout right next to the Botanic Gardens and the ‘A’ listed Kibble Palace. What kind of message does this send to tourists?

Perhaps if those businesses WERE paying the council, you might not be now having to charge tax-paying Glasgow citizens an entry free to the latter…

Note: If these remain up, despite all previous reports, a formal complaint goes in.
