Investigating
Drain
Reported via mobile in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category anonymously at 21:12, Thursday 5 June 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

The drain outside The Vines, Burford rd, Black Bourton was marked for repair but was flooded when other repairs were fixed on Burford rd, so wasn't done. It's flooded again today but I'm hoping it will be fixed soon. This is because someone parks opposite the drain/gully and we have to drive over the massive pothole. Has anyone investigated why the water comes up this gully and over road and doesn't flow away for days. Their is a ditch nearby and it fills with water and I think it's blocked so comes up onto the road.

This issue has not yet been resolved and has worsened since it was reported. This is a major hazard with a large dip in the road that fills with water when it rains. Once full of water it is difficult to see just how bad it is and is likely to catch someone out leading to a serious accident. It has become a serious safety issue requiring immediate resolution.
