The drain is blocked problem
Reported in the The drain is blocked category by Gloucestershire County Council at 11:44, Thursday 29 May 2025
FixMyStreet ref: 7665492.
PERM
One of our crews came across a damaged gully cover that had fallen in on itself on Tuesday. They made the gully cover made safe at the time, but they did not have a 2 hour job number
at the time of making it safe. I’ve attached a few photos they have sent me when they found the damaged cover in question.
In light of this, please would it be possible for an inquiry ref be raised for a Perm Repair. Please can this be assigned to a Safety Inspector.
The Address details are as follows:
Address: Outside Windrush view Cottage, Landsdowne, Bourton On The Water GL54 2LQ
Job Description: Damaged Gully cover made safe – requires further works.
Kind regards.

I am pleased to inform you this drainage issue has been resolved.
Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently. You can find out more, including the gully emptying schedule on our website by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/road-maintenance
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
If you are concerned about flooding please see the Flood Guide for advice and support by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/flood-risk-management/flooding-information/flood-guide
