  • As the vehicle is parked on private land, the Council can only remove it with the permission of the land owner. We will, however, look into the obstruction issue caused by the rear of the vehicle overhanging the pavement.

  • Three and a half months since report to Fix(?) My Street on a vehicle that has impinged on the pavement for more than five years and the only action is to, repeatedly, close the case without any6 action being taken. Less than impressive.

Posted anonymously at 10:02, Tue 16 September 2025

  • We have notified the responsible party of their duties and responsibilities and informed them that further enforcement action may be taken if the issue is not resolved. For overhanging vegetation reports please allow 28 days for the responsible party to arrange action before notifying us of any continued obstruction.

  • For information, as the vehicle is parked on private land the Council does not have the powers to remove it without the owners permission. The vehicle's owner has previously been contacted requesting that either the vehicle is parked fully on the driveway or moved to another location. As neither have been complied with a Fixed Penalty Notice for obstructing the highway has been issued.

  • Vehicle has, finally, been removed.
