Overgrown bushes and trees obstructing shared footpath/cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:23, Tue 3 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7656195.

Ocation: Between these two coordinates: 📍 55°48'50.7"N 4°20'11.4"W to 📍 55°48'43.4"N 4°20'05.4"W (This stretch is part of a shared-use path in [Glasgow’s southside/westside – update if needed].)

Description: There are extensive overgrown bushes and tree branches encroaching onto the footpath and cycle route between the two points above. The vegetation makes it extremely difficult—and in some places impossible—to:

Safely cycle through

Push a pram or buggy

Navigate with a wheelchair or mobility aid

This is creating a serious access issue and forcing pedestrians and cyclists dangerously close to one another or off the path entirely. The problem is ongoing and appears to be worsening.

Request: Please arrange for trimming or removal of the vegetation to restore safe, full-width access for both pedestrians and cyclists.
