Flytipping #4

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 14:58, Sunday 1 June 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7646167.

Saved today's best for last.

The two Taylor bins on the street are, once again, overflowing. This has been going on forever and while moving them onto the street off the pavement has helped, it hasn't cured the situation. Please, thus, re-apply the NRS mgt brain horsepower again for a definitive solution.

In addition to the above, there must be 20 bags of rubbish and other items flytipped next to these two bins.

All street bins are flytipping magnets. But you know that, right? So, with such a problematic hotspot one would think pro-active checking and removal would take place, right? Wrong.

2:15 today, council caged lowloader barely 1/4 full, 1 driver, at least 3 men in the cab, drive east straight by the flytipping on their way back to the depot (like flytipping reports 1-3). And another vehicle likewise heading west.

There must be at least 8 such vehicles pass up and down Dumbarton Rd EVERY day yet it seems they are either not instructed to check and remove or they are and can't be bothered. Which? And when are NRS mgt going to get a grip on things - 5 years and counting...
