Tree blocking view to pedestrians at Zebra crossing

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:15, Friday 30 May 2025

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7639033.

There is a large tree right next to a zebra crossing. The tree itself blocks the view to one side of the crossing and the orange flashing light cannot be seen (see pics). It is not visible till you are right on top of it. I have reported this previously and all that happens is the bush that grows at the bottom of the tree grows back. While that may help in the short term, it does not solve the issue. Serious consideration should be given to removing the tree before a crossing pedestrian is injured or killed. Failing that remove the crossing all together. One must go
