Around two inches deep hole in footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category by Peter Fitz-Harris at 14:29, Thu 29 May 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7633576.

This hole near the BT inspection cover has been there for some time and has been previously marked up for attention and the paint has started to wear off! The hole is around 2 inches deep and about 10 inches across. My concern is that it is outside one of our elderly neighbours home and it could be a tripping risk.

Updates

  • The damaged footpath is outside 12 Folly View, Necton next to a manhole cover. It is quite deep and we are concerned that our elderly neighbour who has mobility problems could easily trip on it. The surveyor walked around the footpaths and completely missed this corner where the problem is.
