From the traffic up to the bridge, the whole strip on the left where the only pathway is

Overgrown nettles and weeds which is on a very thin and narrow pathway and no alternative path only road. I have been out walking today with a young child, a baby in pram and a dog. Trying to get around all of the overgrown nettles was extremely difficult without my children or dog being stung. We ended up having to walk along the very busy road to get past. As we pay nearly £300 a month in council tax we would expect to be able to walk around where we live without needing to report these kind of issues. This needs sorting as a matter of urgency as you are restricting us from being able to walk the dog in a safe environment as the only way is dangerously via the busy road.

Thank you for your enquiry. Following a review on cost and effectiveness of weed spraying, we are not routinely spraying weeds on the highway. Instead, we review requests for treatment of weeds in channels, at the top of kerbs, in footways / alleyways (bordering a wall or fence), footpaths and link paths. As your request does not meet the criteria, no further action will be taken at this time.
We will continue to ensure the location is safe through our routine safety inspections which are conducted in line with our Code of Practice. More information is available on the following link:
